Embracing Black Women!

Embracing Black women
The truth By Bockmans Blogs

I love Black women, the beauty black women poses is similar to an artistic composition. There full lips so soft and tender, the beautiful array of skin tones they display vibrant and captivating. There coiled afro hair fluffy and beautifully scented, the aroma of coco butter which oozes from their skin. Black women are indeed a blessing to man, it’s a shame that popular culture does not appreciate the artistry of the black woman. The media however cannot be blamed entirely as the black community must also be criticised for its self hating philosophies and ideologies. Slavery played an undeniable role in the self hate we see amongst many blacks, issues of light skin and good hair ingrained in the minds of many African descendants. Predominant Images of light skin black women in the media, has left those of a darker hue feeling inferior. Skin bleaching and lightening creams seem to becoming more popularised, as darker skinned women seek to conform to the Media’s twisted ideologies of beauty; self hate is a deadly poison that no human should be intoxicated with. Weaves and perms have long been hot topics for discussion within the black community. Some claiming they symbolize self hate others claiming they provide variety in terms of appearance. But the fact cannot be denied that most weaves and perms do not bear any resemblance to the natural texture of hair that black women poses. Most of the weaves black women wear are of an Indian or European texture and perming the hair straight also changes the natural characteristics of black hair. So when evaluated one must wonder if these variety claims are even viable. In summing up I would like to say black women are indeed a blessing from the creator. It’s about time black men started appreciating their women and embracing them more. It’s also time for black women to stand up and fight against the biased images the media propagates. They can only do this by embracing themselves and their natural beauty.
