The Shackle Shoe will not be released! Thank GOD. Adidas decided to not go forward with the release of the shoe. The shoe is called the JS Roundouse, and it has stirred up a bunch of controversy within the black community. The Rev. Jesse Jackson even had some words to say.....“The attempt to commercialize and make popular more than 200 years of human degradation, where blacks were considered three-fifths human by our Constitution is offensive, appalling and insensitive,” said Rev. Jackson in a statement."
Now to me, I am never surprised that these type of things happen. The country that we live in is not very much different from the days of slavery, we are still behind, not seen as equal, and are being abused. We just got to open our eyes.
