Wake Up Black Folks!

So I was searching keywords that are searched on the web concerning African Americans/Black People, and I found out that some disturbing terms were looked up on the search engines. Now, I was looking for things such as Hip Hop or sports type of keywords, and guess what I found. The top keywords on the list when it comes to black folks were...
  • Why are Black People So Rude
  • Black People are Ugly
  • Why do Black People Look Like Monkeys
  • Black People and Watermelon
Now this does not really surprise me, but it is a bit disturbing knowing that this is what falls at the top of the list of things being typed into search engines about us. This means that there a plenty of people that think that we are rude, ugly, look like monkeys, and were made to eat watermelon. Now I want to say a few things to people who think these things. Some black people that you meet might be rude because of the way the world treats us like $h!t at times. We might have a little anger in us being that most of our jobs work the hell out of us for minimum wage, while boss-man is sitting in the office screwing his secretary and popping pills. As far as the ugly thing... I say let's line up a hundred blacks and a hundred of any other race and have a honest beauty contest. Why do we look like monkeys, I rather look like a monkey than a caveman. Last but not least, I don't really like watermelon, but Ill take the fried chicken just like most of the world be it black or white.

Being that there are plenty of people that feel this way, and we work for many of them. We shop at their stores, by our cars from their dealerships, and overall support their businesses after the way that they feel about us. I'm not talking about just white people either, I'm talking about any non African Americans, or black descendants of Africa. Why is it so hard for us to put our money together to start companies, or just shop with each other. I am here to tell you this, in 2014, I am going to seriously find black businesses to handle most of my needs. The only thing that bothers me is that its hard to find a black owned gas station, bank, or any Major company that we own. With that being said, we have plenty of work to do. I am tired of giving my little money to people who would not invite me to their houses unless it meant that I would have to clean or wash some shit. Don't you get tired of this stuff, and if you are, what are you going to do?

WHY DID WE WAIT FOR TRAYVON TO DIE?

Now I am personally happy to see my people come together and fight for our rights and for justice, but why did we have to wait for 17 year old Trayvon Martin to die? When I heard those words Not Guilty in the case against George Zimmerman, I was not at all surprised. I actually felt like he would get off by what I had seen during the trial. Was I upset, hell yes, but it was not a big shocker to me.

I spend alot of time on the internet reading the news, and something that I see all of the time is African Americans being mistreated, killed, and thrown in jail unfairly. Hell, I see this locally on a regular basis, and there is nothing being done about it. Now, I do not expect any other race to step up and fight for us, this is something that blacks have to stand up for, including myself. Let me be all the way real for a second, America is still very much the racial place it was when they first brought us over here. Yeah we have rights, we can sit in the front of the bus, and they gave some of us negro's decent jobs, but let's not stop there. Look who makes up the majority of the prisoners, look who is most unemployed or are making low wages, look who gets harassed by cops on the daily, look who is considered to be the scum of the earth, and look who is being stereotyped by what they wear, BLACK FOLKS!

What I am trying to say is, we should have been doing something about these problems way before Trayvon dying. I think that we have gotten to comfortable by thinking that we are equal in this country. Now here is what I think we are going to have to do as a people, we are going to have to stop looking to white folks to make things right. We are going to have to build family's, instead of baby mama's and daddies so that we can raise our kids up the right way. We are going to have to become more of business men and women, instead of working for others. We are going to have to shop with each other, and cut out ALL others. Long story short, Black Folks we are going to have to stick together the same way every other race has done. Its time for me to go hit these folks clock, got to cut my post short. Peace and Blessings! What do you think?

HOW LONG DO YOU THINK TYLER PERRY WILL LAST?

Lately I have been hearing plenty of people complaining about TP's recent movie Temptation, which I have not seen yet. I have seen the play called the "marriage counselor" from which the movie was based on, so I know what to expect. Many people say that the plot was terrible, and the acting was kind of over the top. Well I have seen most of Mr. Perry's movies so I know how they can be, so I do understand what people mean. TP has released like a thousand movies and plays in the last five years, and most of them has been based on the same thing... relationships. I'm a big fan of this brothers grind and success, so I'm not hating on him at all, I just think that it is time to either take a break, produce different types of movies, and/or hire some more writers and producers.

There is only so much one man can do, and if you are dropping movies and plays at the rate that he does, you are going to run out of ideas. I think that the brother has gotten caught up with the Tyler Perry Presents thing. If he does not be careful, he will he washed up faster than MC Hammer and them hammer pants. He really needs to consider reinventing himself or doing something totally different. The brother has made a nice fortune for his self, so I think that he should bring in some talented writers and back off for a while. If he keeps going on at this rate, he will be old news in the next few years. What do you guys think?

Are Blacks Cursed?

By Bockman Blogs

It seems as if where ever the black man goes war and corruption follows, Could the black man actually be cursed? Let’s look at Africa for example the continent up to this day remains the poorest in the world. Africa has made some significant improvements in recent years but compared to India and china its accomplishments are less impressive.
African Americans are also marginalised and stereotyped; despite their successes in entertainment they still remain relatively deprived. Sports and music are often portrayed as the only avenues to success; this has had serious affects on the youth. Cycles of poverty are then created as youths grow up expecting to never amount to much.
There are so many unanswered questions when it comes to the current state of black people. Yes we all know slavery played a critical role in the destruction of blacks, but in 2011 you have to actually ask yourself why Africa is still the poorest continent in the world. Why are blacks associated with criminality and poverty? Why do we hate ourselves? Why do we ridicule each other? Why are we like this? These are the questions we should all aim to find the answers to.
When president Obama, came into power many thought that the start of a revolution had began, sadly this was short lived as most things remain unchanged. During the election period it was evident that Blacks were viewed as less intelligent by the media and themselves. The media made such a big deal over Obama’s race, even black people feel into the media trap of highlighting his colour.
Due to the years of punishment and slavery blacks underwent in the Americas a little bit of excitement was understandable as a man of African descent was running for head of office. However some of the frenzy showed that blacks thought of themselves as inferior to whites, with statements like I can’t believe a black man is running for president, black comedians also used derogatory jokes further belittling their own their own race.
Blacks should have not been suppressed or doubtful of Obama running for presidency. There lack of belief Cleary demonstrated their unbelief in themselves. Are blacks actually cursed? Well I am not the creator so I cannot answer that question, but if you look at Africa and the diaspora you will clearly see a pattern and that pattern defiantly needs to be assessed and changed.
